Racking Accessories

Every forkie will tell you it isn’t so, but the damage from forklifts connecting with racking tells a different story.

Rack protection takes the form of column guards and rack end protectors – both are essential to minimise damage to frames and uprights and protect people and product.

Every exposed end of a run of racking requires a load sign to comply with OH&S standards. You should also protect staff and visitors with general awareness and hazard signage throughout the facility.

Bulk Goods Handling

If you require a storage system that maximises accessibility of bulky, cumbersome items, it is worthwhile to consider cantilever racking or raised storage areas – similar to mezzanine floors.

Cantilever racking provides flexibility and allows for uninterrupted storage on the horizontal plane for items from long sheets of steel to furniture.

DSG build raised storage areas either over rack supported floor or structural steel posts. Rack supported floor provides efficient storage of palletised goods with bulk items above whilst a base of structural steel posts allows for freedom of movement underneath without compromising the strength and safety of the flooring.

Safety Inspections
